I’ve always had a thing for sunglasses. I have about 30 pairs of sunglasses, maybe more – and that’s not counting the ones I just recently gave away.
To me, sunglasses are the ultimate accessory. They can transform your look and elevate your style. I have some designer sunglasses and some not-so-designer. If I’m being honest, probably 25 of the 30 pair of sunglasses I own are regular/schmegular. Ain’t nobody got money to spend thousands on sunglasses. A pair or two from Mr Price or as the posh people call it, “Monsieur Pris” will do just fine.
Funny thing is that as often as I collect sunglasses, I don’t wear them that often. I try not to buy into trends but sometimes I can’t help myself. Up until last year, the micro sunglasses were trending. I bought two of those – which looks ridiculous on me by the way – and would look even more ridiculous wearing them now since they are no longer on-trend.
What’s trending this year is the oversized aviator sunglasses.
I personally prefer the cat eye sunglasses or a more classic style but I also like to try new things.
